Woollam was engaged by South Bank Corporation to deliver an urban renewal project of former flood affected restaurants. The redevelopment creates a uniquely Queensland experience and sub-tropical lifestyle in the heart of Brisbane. The rejuvenated area boasts a world-class public space, consisting of; a public pavilion, riverside lawn, upgraded promenade access and over 10,000 new plants. The space also features an integrated water feature created by Aboriginal contemporary artist, Elisa Jane Carmichael. The artwork, ‘Water is Life’ features sculpted forms of Aboriginal weave and netting and honours the significance of water to First Nations people.

Woollam’s clear communication and planning resulted in effective risk mitigation and a successful result. The challenges of a live, high-profile environment required the team to go above and beyond regular methods. Our attention to detail resulted in the project being delivered to a high standard and ahead of schedule.

The scope was intense and the timeline short, however, Woollam delivered and delivered in spades. The standard of the project was world-class and an absolute testament to the extremely high standards that Woollam themselves hold their company to.
