21 Sydney Street is a 19th century building and long-time treasure in the Mackay CBD Streetscape – standing proudly for 125 years. After being left vacant and neglected for over 2 years, the iconic building formerly known as ‘Mackay Spare Parts’ had become dismal and dilapidated. Woollam Constructions purchased the lot in 2018 to redevelop the building into a vision of its former glory and encourage economic investment in the town centre

Careful refurbishment was undertaken of the heritage listed building. Woollam gutted the 755m2 warehouse style structure and divided the area into two premium office and commercial tenancies. The heritage appeal of the façade leads into a fit-out with modern-industrial styling. The lettable spaces feature 6m high ceilings, timber look wall tiles, recycle hardwood awnings and a grand foyer.

Craig and the team at Woollam were amazing to deal with.
Nothing was a problem. To be entering the next 18 years in business, with the prospect of being closer to the blue river, in the town five generations of family before us were born, is beyond incredible. We have renewed our hope for the future of Mackay and the development of our beautiful Big blue.
